UPDATED: Youth Soccer Coach Charged with Sexual Assault

Marvin Geovanny Juarez pleaded guilty to several charges and was sentenced on Monday, May 20th, 2013 to a minimum of 22 years to life in prison by Clark County District Judge Kathleen E. Delaney. Juarez admitted to having sex with the 13 year-old on two separate occasions and also told police that he was abused as a child.

Juarez pleaded guilty to use of a minor in producing pornography, lewdness with a child under the age of 14 and attempted sexual assault with a child under the age of 16.


A 35-year-old childrens’ soccer coach was arrested on May 27th, 2012 by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detectives for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy.

Marvin Geovanny Juarez was taken into custody at the Southeast valley park where he coached. He is charged with four counts of Sexual Assault, 11 counts of Lewdness with a Minor Under 14 and two counts of Unlawful Contact with a Minor. He remains in custody at the Clark County Detention Center.

Interviews conducted by detectives indicate Juarez may have additional victims who participated in his soccer league, Atleticos Club Las Vegas. Sexual Assault detectives are in the process of identifying and interviewing potential victims in this case.
