On Saturday September 14th, 2013 we attended the Cambridge Community Health & Resource Fair held at Molasky Family Park. The event was put on by Amerigroup, Siegel Suites and Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani.

The event was attended by hundreds of families and featured over 2 dozen vendors. We set up a booth and a multi-sports obstacle course (for the first time). At the table we passed out information about youth sports safety and close to 50 concussion awareness kits (unfortunately we ran out). We talked to lots of parents about the benefits of youth sports participation as well as positive and safe sports.

The obstacle course gave the kids a chance to get physically active as they had to go through an agility course made up of step hurdles, dribble a soccer ball through cones and then take their best shot at a baseball pitching target. Every child that went through the course was awarded with a rubber bracelet that was provided to us by Sports Blast.

This was the first time we set-up a course like this at a community type event and is something we hope to do again at future community events as the kids loved it and we had fun doing it!
